Dreamy

I'm curious about your take on this one...there is little to focus on because I panned horizontally at a long exposure. But I wanted an unfocussed, dreamy look. Then I used a Color Effex recipe on it. I figure it should be in this gallery as a result.

Thanks in advance for any comments or critiques.

Well done! I have tried this stuff a couple of times, but did not get the results I wanted. Maybe it would have been even better with the bright part in the middle, but maybe you had reasons to do it like this. But it works very well as is!

I love this Kathy, a unique and very ethereal shot. Personally I might try moving the green/magenta slider a bit in the latter direction, and to me this belongs in Landscape as the tool you used to impart your artistic vision was largely your camera rather than your computer. This is a perfect example of drawing or painting with light, which is the definition of photography. Just my opinion.

It does look dreamy and surreal, and the color contrast works wonderfully - I don't miss that lack of a focus point.

Hello Kathy, Beautiful light, colors and dreamy effect! I like that the wave is still discernible. I might try applying a bit motion blur on the right side of the sun and the purple part below. Very nicely done!

Well done. For me, I think i would crop the image just below the incoming wave.
