Nice iconic view of the falls. Would like to see more of your techs. I hesitate to comment on this because it's hard to judge colors/casts, etc., when you're not standing there yourself, but the color of the moss looks too much toward the olive green/yellow? Leaving the highlights untamed makes the moss look like goo. The water flow looks great, capturing a pleasant and realistic range of possible colors there.

You've captured a lot of interesting detail, Tom, and the water has a nice feel. I think this might also look good as a B/W, and you might also consider cropping the right side to eliminate the green moss and see how you like it. Nicely done.

The moss her is a bit weird as it is frozen solid by the spray from the falls. During an unusual NW cold snap before Christmas. Taken from an ice covered bridge right below the falls. There is some color in the water, it is not white, but the winter streams do carry a sediment load. Freezing spray was trying to coat the camera (and myself) so it had to be quick. Most photos you see of these falls have a saturated green moss, not frozen and with that fresh "Irish" look. The moss when frozen does look a bit olive drab!
As landscape photographers are we being similar to fashion photographers working with made up models with our saturated photos, or should we educate the taste to the was the world really is? I am principally a B&W worker but was not happy with the monochrome tonality with this one.
I also took several views of this that day with my Canon 5DIII. Not much to choose between them in a small size.

I'm not queit sure on this one. In some ways I find the trunk in the foreground a little bit of a distraction.......but maybe that is just me. The water has a nice feel and moss looks a bit weird, but you said it looks this way. I think this would also be a great black and white image.

I think the foreground trunk is a slight distraction but at least the water flow and trunk in the background echo it. I think you did a nice job.

This image works well in showing off the inner workings of the Olympic rain forest Tom. I think the image is framed up nicely, and has wonderful intimate energy with the close up of the flowing falls. The log is fine with me because it goes with the flow of the image.
nicely captured
