Blue

Ok - trying something else out again, loving the feedback I'm getting from everyone.

This was taken with a Nikon P&S so quality isn't top notch and I don't have a RAW file to play with... but I really like this image and hope others do.

Atlantic Ocean,
Jupiter Florida

An interesting exercise in minimalism, Luke, that definitely conveys one aspect of being on an ocean beach. While I wouldn't hang this on my wall, I'll bet there are a good number of folks who would.

I like this a lot, Luke! I like how the shades of blue gradually darken as they get higher in the sky. The small amount of ocean at the bottom may be unusual, but I think it works in this image.

I like the color gradient in the sky and the faint clouds on the horizon. I might have opted for no ocean or a little bit more.

Thanks Eva - there was no option of "a little bit more". The shot was taken from a sidewalk adjacent to the beach and there is a hedge of sea-oats that runs for miles along this sidewalk. This view from the sidewalk (just a peak at the ocean and then the full horizon) is what inspired the image

The watermark kills it for me. Sorry.

I agree with you Luke, this is very nice. It's simple, yet not so simple. I like the amount of water at the bottom and the small stripe of clouds just above it. Well seen.

Yes. Blue.

Somewhat reminiscent of people like Mike Stacey .... I must say that I agree about the signature/watermark comment on this one!

I really like minimalist images but I have to be honest, this is just a little too sparse for my tastes.

Very abstract. I like it. It is a real nice change of pace.

Hi Luke,

I like the blue here, and it is a very refreshing image for myself. It reminds me of trying to meditate, and how one has to empty out his or her mind. I htink this image works out wonderfully for calming the spirit, and letting go.

Bullseye blue on my monitor, like it a lot, a vision cleanser. :jump:

Looks like there's a .02 degree counter-clockwise rotation

The clouds, believe it or not, really make the image work for me. Agree that this would have been a good time to skip the watermark.
