Bernie: A unique and pleasing take on QAL. Really like the POF/DOF choice and overall comp. 2 thumbs up. >=))>

Once again you've worked beautifully with the depth of field, Bernie, and with the light. I The sharp florets are set perfectly in among the soft touches of green and white, all in a lively off-centre composition. Very nice indeed !!!!

Very, very nice Bernie! I love the DOF and I love the overall look of the bloom. I wish there was a bit more room on the left, but that does not kill the shot for me.

I have hesitated on commenting on this at first. For me, I really like the lacy patterns and colors. I have no problem with certain eccentric placements of the subject. Honestly, what bothers me here is the sense that a good macro shot was missed and an almost whole subject was shot, almost like cropping out the top of the head or the virtual feet. I would really prefer under the circumstances that less of the plant be shown and more attention given to those same lacy patterns and colors. I think it is a decent photo well taken, but I wish other options had been explored that might have done it more justice.

Great look at a hard to photograph flower, Bernie. I like the brightness and your tight focus on the first few florets.

I can certainly see where it gets it's name. Lovely, intricate details and a wonderful dof.

Bernie I never took a decent photo of this flower but you did it. An excellent selective focus and very nice details. Bravo!
