New Year New Life

Early in the morning of New Year's Day, we came across a herd of Gnu behaving rather strangely, When we got closer we understood why.
This youngster was fairly "fresh".
Nothing I could do about the sleeping "oldsters"

It always amazes me when antelope drop their young and they are immediately able to get up and trot around.
I find this interesting as a record of animal behavior but not a particularly appealing image.

I find this a very appealing image. Subject matter, IQ and animal behavior. It has a lot going for it. Well done.

Martin and Jerry,
Thanks very much, I agree that it is not entirely a "beautiful" subject :toast: :toast: :toast:

Excellent behavioral image. While not the most attractive of posts it certainly more than makes up for that in the story it tells–well captured and presented Ken.

Ken,

Nice documentation and the subject matter certainly fits the image title and theme well. The sleeping "oldsters" do detract but - as you say - you couldn't do much about them.
