OK, I now understand why some folks believe in UFO's, having seen this lenticular cloud at Red Rock Canyon State Park near Mojave, CA.
I've never seen anything quite like this, and the show went on for about 30 minutes.

Thanks in advance for any comments or critiques.

Yes, it's always fun to watch peculiar clouds go through their transformations. Especially when they light up with this kind of color. Nice landscape below as well. Might have liked to see a little more of that.

Wow, amazing clouds AND amazing light. That's just great! Really nice picture, wouldn't change a thing, except for the dust bunny in the middle of the upper half.

Now that's one beautiful sky! Nice as is, but a horizontal would also be a good alternative. Either way the image is a winner.

Kathy, you've caught a lovely sky and complemented it nicely with an easily visible landscape. Yes, lenticular clouds are fun to see and watch evolve. Getting colored light on it adds wonderfully to the pleasure.

Fascinating cloud formation and beautifully colored sky. I think you could have gone with a little more of the hills or a little less and had a stronger image but that's just my personal preference. This is both interesting and lovely as is.

Wow, stellar cloud!! I might consider darkening the hills to compete less with the sky, but pretty minor stuff. Quite a sky image.

Great clouds and sky color. Also like the subtle reflection of light on the rock. A horizontal crop or a comp with just the land and lenticular cloud might work as well. A treat to have these kind of conditions to photograph, well done.
