Do what you know best !!

Thats what happens when a macro photographer goes out there, trying to make bird images !! I had no sense of size !!

Thats a migratory spot billed pelican passing by..

I think that you may have cropped this one a little too much, Balan.

I know what you mean about trying different kinds of photography. I shoot pretty much landscapes until some bird or other wildlife gets in the way and then inevitably the results are less than stellar. On Monday I was shooting some river scenery and three fast-moving river otters ran through the shot as I was looking through the viewfinder. Needless to say comedy ensued as I tried to change from one kind of photog to another.... disabling mirror lock-up, taking the timer off, changing aperture and SS, etc. Although they hung around for a while and even came upstream towards me, I never really got a decent photo and was quite content to go back to shooting the static scenery.

Definitely been there and done that, Balan. Thanks for a big grin on a cold snowy day. I expect to get quite a few of these in a couple of weeks when I visit Mike Ramy in Florida and we do a lot of bird "shooting". Maybe I'll get even more rear end and less bird.

Balan, Next time cut off the backside of the bird, then it has room to fly into the frame. lol I enjoy your images very much and I like you sense of humor.

I think this is a bit tight on the top and the sides (smile). Sadly, this looks like the majority of my in-flight images.

Wow, have I got a library of photos like this, so don't feel alone. Thanks for sharing this with a sense of humor. All of us who photograph birds understand.

Misses are OK, I guess, as long as you stay at it long enough to get some good ones. There are a lot of differences in all the categories. The trick for me is to plan a shoot for one category only. When I do flowers, I stick to flowers. When I do birds, that is all I do. I try to fit procedures to a single subject and ignore interruptions.
