Bontebok w/setting sun

I posted a photo of this Bontebok a few months ago. Here is another image from the session, I would have liked to actually line up the buck's head against the setting sun but we were already pushing it to get out the park gate before it closed for the night so I had to let this one go just after this shot. Taken at the Cape of Good Hope Nature Reserve, South Africa.

Canon 5D3 500F4 1.4x, F8, iso 800, lying on my stomach.

Very nice Nate. A perfect silhouette against that amazing sky. Well done.

Really loving this one Nate. This has a lot of feeling and peacefulness to it. In a perfect world, I wish the sun wasn't cut off in the frame, but that is super minor...so much I feel sort of bad about mentioning it, but need to be honest. Anyway..I really wish it was mine and hanging only living room wall. :toast:

Thanks Jerry and Kurt. Kurt I agree completely, I would rather have the whole sun in, I was just a bit too close and when I did have it composed correctly the buck turned his head.

Nate, I really like the silhouette and the bit of rim lighting on the animal against the colorful sky.

I like your control of technical choices, Nate. This is a very appealing result.
