A stand of Sycamores in Caspers Wilderness Park O.C. So Cal. made in late January. The trunks, branches and twig forms reminded me of lighting strikes. Did not want to do a B&W as I liked the gray-green texture in the coastal scrub background. I welcome any comments and critique.

I like this a lot. Lovely contrast and striking trees. I wish it was little sharper.

It's a bit of a shame that this is a bit blurry, because the white trees against the dark background work really well!

Stephen: This is well seen and composed. I like the near B&W feel with the strip of relatively bright green on the bottom. This looks like a good capture and just needs some processing sharpening which would make the trees pop even more. Well done.>=))>

Thanks to all for the input, agree on the not quite right focus.

I love tree "bones" in winter and these are well captured. Would be curious to see a b & w treatment (my personal bias).
