This was from the first sunrise shoot on a workshop I co-led with Arild Heitmann & Stian Klo in the Lofotens. Before a pretty awesome light show, this was one of the first frames I made in the dull blue hour light. I never did return to reshoot this composition when the light sweetened but I'm happy to have made a couple of frames here.

Perfectly composed Kah Kit, the small body of water in the foreground makes for a wonderful lead into the photo. Plenty of atmosphere too and I think the toning amplifies this.

This is a very strong composition, but I might be inclined to crop a bit off the bottom. It feels a bit too long to me. But other than that this is one heck of a photo!

A great comp. I especially love the foreground. There's so much to explore. Love the details. The processing is perfect. Awesome image

Looks like ice instead of flowing water. Very cool.

Powerful shot of Uttakleiv Kah Kit! This was the first beach we visited, actually on our way from the airport at Leknes to our Hut in Reine. Looks like you got "typical" weather

Really fascinating shot Kah Kit, I love the processing and blurred bubbles.

Perfect use of that dull light; it makes a great BW with your strong comp.

Not sure any light would be more moody than this evocative capture. A monochrome color capture that one can feel. :wavey:

Great composition and wonderful details and tones throughout Kah Kit. The toning looks really good and the clouds on the mountain add a lot to this. Wonderful image.

Excellent composition Kah Kit. It maintains interest from front to back. The mountain is actually just as, or more interesting, than the foreground. I have never sand with such a mixture of dark and white. It works well for a b&w image.

Thanks for the feedback. Roel I think you're right about the crop, actually when posted to social media I took some off the bottom. But decided to post the full frame here just to see if anybody felt it was too long as well.

Awesome image, KK. I like the idea of taking some off th bottom and I would deal with some significant haloing along the ridge lines before printing. Very cool.

gloomy weather ... great monochrome feel to this and i love the flow through the image. the boulder/rock is a bit of an eye magnet and breaks the flow just a touch too much. nice tones and textures.

EDIT - in the larger version, i feel that the comment about the boulder/rock is less of an issue but i think that all the FG may be important to keep to maintain the flow. My rambling 2c!
