Audubon's Reflecting

Here's another shot of one of the pair of Audubon's Orioles that was coming in to one of the blinds regularly during our recent trip to Santa Clara Ranch in Texas. It was my favorite image of our time there.

Nice wet bird and reflection, Nate. Excellent job exposing the yellow and black combination.

Great-looking bird, even when wet, and your exposure and processing makes that evident.
I think this comp is perfect for the Web, but for a larger presentation, I think a tiny bit more space on the bottom would make it even better.

Stunning. Only wish there was a TOUCH more room on the bottom

That perfect reflection really works well with this colorful bird. I like the subtle detail in the blacks and the nearly pure white in the beak, that's a fine use of dynamic range.

One of the sharpest small bird reflections I've seen Nate..
Could flip this 180 and one would be hard pressed to say which side was up
Well done!! :toast:

Thanks for your comments everyone. Wayne and Luke I do agree a little bit more on bottom (and a little bit less on top) would be ideal but I don't have anymore space in the original down there.

If someone ever needs an image of perfect reflection, this may be the one  . Nice and colorful (and for me exotic) species, surrounded by pleasant colors. Can image you must be happy.
Cheers, Hans

Excellent shot Nate, tough to beat that reflection. A little extra room on bottom would be nice as has been mentioned. It looks like it would be fairly easy to add some canvas to the bottom if you're into that... it was your favorite. Nice work!

Love this Nate. The reflection is perfect, the light is awesome and the subject is great. What else do you need?
