I re-posted this Snowy Egret two days ago and I may have used the wrong iteration.

Keith and I processed this iteration together, and if you see a color cast is is the result of the background. I took the PSD and compared it on his computer. Our calibrations were within normal statistical deviation.

Let me know what you think. Is this one better?

Now that's a noticeable difference, Patrick. The bird stands out much better and I don't see the hints of green in the bird any more.

I think this is the one you and Keith worked, Patrick. It almost takes putting them side-by-side, but it looks better to my eye.

Yeah, that looks better to me and is the version we worked. The whites are nice while still holding detail. The slight color cast has been addressed as well.

Lookin' good, Patrick! GREAT white-on-white detail and killer pose. I looked back at your previous two versions and agree that this is the best. I did notice a slight shadow-effect (dark halo) around the egret here, though, especially in front of its breast and neck (most noticeable on the 720px but also visible on the larger version). The sharpness is off the charts, and I think the comp feels just about right to me (though I don't mind it with a shade more cropped from the top). Very cool background colours as well.

Snowies are an exotic for us Albertans so I laughed when Jenaya, Marlise and I discovered last year that they're practically a nuisance in some parts of Florida! We came out from IHOP one day to find 5 on our rental car! Of course, we feel that way about magpies, and I recall nearly being trampled in Minnesota a few years ago by a birding group when news broke there was a magpie down the road.
