Limpkin on a limb calling

Well that's a cool perch for a limpkin! I was just looking through some of Jenaya's and my images from Florida this evening, and stumbled on our one encounter with this species. We sure didn't walk away with so pleasing a result, however! I love the soft highlight on the limpkin, and of course the open beak in call. The textures and light patterns on the branches are fantastic, and the pine needles in the URC make a fantastic frame. Beautiful.
