I think it's an interesting comp, but the colors look flat. Just wondering if saturation and/or contrast would boost the drama here a bit.

Be sure to see the larger image as it is a bit less flat and more what was intended. The smaller images derived from the larger ones often loose something here in the translation. I am not a member of the saturate till it glows in the dark school. There is value in appreciating the subtle that is real nature and not having to increasingly participate in a race of exaggeration because we can. Neither Velvia or the saturate slider have done us any favors.

Hi Tom,

You larger version is very nice. I think the lighting goes with the overall mood of the image. Maybe just a touch of brightness and contrast, but in my honest opinion, I'd leave it as is :wavey: .............................Jim

Tom, this shows off the temperate rain forest very nicely. The larger version is improved with respect to contrast, but I also think that some additional contrast (saturation looks good to me) would help this view. In particular, I think some subtle dodging of the lighter greens, especially along both sides of the stream in the middle right would pull a bit more attention that way and add an extra sense of depth.

Saturation looks good to me. Maybe it could use a wee bit extra contrast, but I actually like the softness as it is presented here. Great forest scene!
