Tower Light

Taken over by the tower area of Yellowstone. At the time the road was under construction and no stopping was allowed along the road. However, early one morning as I was making my way over to Lamar Valley there was little enough traffic that I was able to stop for this photo. Interested to hear what you all think. Thanks.

So nicely atmospheric!!!

My only suggestion is a slight "smart sharpen" in PS to get those trees a little sharper without effecting the smooth fog areas around them. Not a deal breaker. :)

Thanks Bill and Mark. I'll add a little sharpening to see if I can't get those trees a little sharper.

I like the image and the use of light and shadow. I guess for my taste I would like to see just a bit more detail in the dark area.

Nicely unique. For an interesting variation, you might consider converting into black and white, making the dark half of the picture even darker and cloning out the little bit of dark the shows in the light half of the picture. That would leave the transition along the diagonal intact, and might be a cool effect.

Nice mysterious atmosphere! The detail in the dark parts is just enough to not turn it into one big black blob. I'm not a fan of the watermark though, it's too distracting...

Works great for me. Conditions and mood are fantastic! I like the strong diagonal and the shrouded subject matter.

Very nicely composed and presented.  The hints of color offer an interesting discovery.

Hi Christina,

The atmosphere created by the light and fog is sexy, and the diagonal cliff really is verty well seen. I really like the trees on the cliff because they give me a sense of scale to how massive nature of the rock wall.

beautiful work!! cool
