Starting to seriously think about summer and shooting in the mountains. This image is a full display of old man on the mountain flowers on the tundra of Rocky Mtn Nat'l Park, CO, taken last June.

An overall nice image with great bright colors. I get the feeling a heavy grad filter was used here? Anyway you were in the right place at the rigt time!
Cheers: Tom

I might try desaturating the yellow in the sky a tad but other than that a magic moment, nicely rendered.

This really needs to be seen in the large version to appreciate it. These yellow flowers bring great vitality to the image, sweeping off across the mountain. In my opinion there is too much sky. Cropping it out would bring more attention to these flowers and give image greater impact. One other smal nit. It's usually best to not amputate flowers in that manner at the edge of the frame. Give them space.

A very pretty scene with some really sweet light. It is interesting how looking at a photograph is very subjective. My feeling from looking at it is to crop some of the sky and put the focus more on the beautiful light and flowers.

Beautiful field in that light. That looks like a real challenge to handle the dynamic range straight into the sun. I like the crop idea too, lower and right is much more interesting.

Hi Ken,
This moment in time was captured with pure beauty in mind, and the technical aspects on handling the complex lighting are handled wonderfully. The view has me loving life and feeling radiant. I had a thought on the composition. Did you happen to try to really emphasize the flowers by capturing a vertical view of this area? I think that could be a sweet view as well.
Excellent work Ken!
