Another from last fall up on the flanks of Mount Nybo in Utah's Wasatch. I like how the setting sun highlighted the little peaklet in the BG. We had to wear hunter orange to avoid getting mistaken for a trophy but there were blessfully few shots that afternoon.

I like how the peak in the middle adds dimension to the image. Well made.
The lighting here is great, Dave. I also like the variety of colors in the foreground trees. My first thought was of spring because of the bright greens and yellows in the aspens, but the oranges say otherwise as does your description as since you were there, I'll take your word for it.
Very nice sense of vibrancy to your image. There is a lot of vitality in it. Nice solid composition. I really like it. Nice job.
This is a nice composition, but the sweet light makes the image.
Great use of layers again! I like the distinction between the very crisp and bright foreground, the soft light on the middle part, and the shadow part in the distance. Composition works very well too. From the thumb I guessed this was a spring shot, but that's obviously not the case...
Those colors really pop, both in the foreground and on that hill.
The lights are making this picture. I find everything beautiful composition, colors and lighting. At Fall time, I try to stay in the protected parcs so I don't worry too much about the trophy hunters, I have nothing against but I am careful. Bravo! for this beautiful Autumn picture.

Hi Dave,
I really enjoy the diagonals in this image, and the play of light and shadow between the illumination in the foreground and the shadows in the background. This light play provides for a wonderful depth to the image.
Beautiful image
