Common Mormon (Papilio polytes) on Pagoda Flower. Please correct me if the ID is wrong.
This butterfly beats her wings rapidly when feeding on nectar. Lucky day! Got this image.

9 commentsExcellent, Yun.As in the previous version, the fact that you were able to get this beautiful subject feeding on flowers that are so nicely coordinated with the spots on the subject is fantastic. Really like the comp and pose. The image is a real beauty.
Fantastic colors and comp, with such sharpness. In the ideal world, maybe the lower wing extension might not be so close to the edge of the photo, but that is so minor compared with the overall excellence of the image.
Wow. Love the colour and detail.
Terrific capture, Yun. You've got excellent details in both the bf and in the flower and the colors are great.

I agree with Scott, the hormony of color's just super man
Excellent on all counts Yun

Wonderful, striking capture! While the butterfly is clearly the star of the show, I really love the trumpet shaped flowers and their bulbous buds. Furthermore the orange flecks in the lower wings perfectly mirror the same shade in the flowers.
Yun: Spectacular setting, subject and capture. Marvelous shot. Congrats on the WP. >=))>
