Well timed for the raindrops and nice light, Alberto. The beautiful and impressive peony stands out well from the shadowed bg. I like the comp, but I would not mind a bit more direct view of the flower and more room on the right. I like the detail from f16 but the bright stem and bud in the bg on the right could be cloned out. crying

Fine detail, Alberto, in the petals, and overall your usual command of high contrast lighting, with the flower centre beautifully lit - though I might just like a shade more contrast, as there is quite a lot going on in the bg.

You cornered the market on gorgeous with this one! Funny thing—I look at this size and the thumbnail and my mind's eye says, "Too dark!" I look at the large picture and it says, "WOW, just right!!" I agree with Scott and Bill about the stem and bud on the right.devildevil

lovely. And excellent separation from background. Great and not easy DOF (I thought focus stacking but I read it's not so).

Very pleasurable and natural also the colours and the necessary sharpness of the peaonia.

All the best,
sandro

Alberto: I think you have brought out the best of this bloom. Great detail and color. Agree with others about the few elements in the background. Nice image!

Lovely colors and detail. I like the angle, but might try a crop to place the flower off center in the image.
