I like the pastel colors and the curving petals on this tulip. I needed a fast shutter speed because of the wind.
Canon 60d, f/9, 1/800, ISO 400, 235mm focal length. I applied Topaz Denoise to the bg.

Beauty, Barb. A good subject for a floral portrait with lovely colors and nice lines, and well rendered against the contrasting bg. I like your dof management for the subject and bg.

This is a first class tulip! Fresh looking and flawless. Good job with lighting and dof to bring out it's beauty ...special how you've got a good section of sharpness at the top of the bloom.

Don't think you could have done this much better, Barb ! The flower pops against the dark but nicely graded background; I like the slightly soft feel too.
