A spring scene from my local park - cherry blossom, rhododendrons, laurel and copper beech making for a rich texture

Lots of lovely spring colors here, Ian.  I like how the clumps of color are grouped and how their textures are set off by the bits of blue sky coming through at the top and the tree trunk, lower left.

Indeed a wide variety of textures and colors, Ian - both the flowers and the different shades of green and copper. Spring all over the scene! Those cherry blossoms look huge, by the way. I can't quite identify the evergreen behind the cherry tree. I want to say cedar, as in those beautiful and huge Himalayan cedars found in many English parks, but the color does not appear to be blue enough?

Alberto : thank you for your kind comment.  I think the background tree may be a cypress, but I am not well up on the evergreens !

Yes, the color could be a cypress, and the foliage texture too, though it looks a bit on the large side for a cypress?
