(Echinacea purpurea) "White Swan"
An 8 image focus stack. I feel somewhat guilty posting this after critiquing Alberto's beautiful but flawed Iris picture. I spent a good ten minutes removing all the dirt specks thrown up by the sprinkler system.
This was at the peak of bloom and I just didn't have it in me to show it dirty.
Thanks for taking the time to look and to make any and all comments!

4 commentsAll in all ...a beauty...dof with the black b/g make this knife-edge sharp and clear, as if in a glass box. Nicely done. You have to be compiling these for a flora photo-book. Your stunning portfolio should be worth pulling together into a handsome hardback album.
Phil: This is wonderful. I have a similar flower that I'm prepping so you've set a standard. Great lighting and a clean comp and BG. Classic. >=))>
Phil - That is some crazy good light or what
- good work on removing the dirt specks. I try removing them with a paper towel or handkerchief prior to shooting if they are in plenty.
Love the angle entry, focus and more importantly the hint of stem.
Nice angle, beautiful light and perfect and clean flower! Excellent
