Sand Abstract

I was wandering the beach with the dog at low tide an early morning a week ago. I brought the camera, thinking I might find some interesting rocks, but I got distracted by sand patterns.  This one reminds me of a flower in its line structure.  I like the simplicity of the image.

The thumbnail was already assuring me that this was a beauty, and the large version did not dissappoint! I am a real sucker for these type of abstracts, and you did a marvelous job here. Absolutely no nits, just print it and frame it!

Looks like a flower pattern to me, Harley. A wonderful find. Outstanding detail in the larger version too. laugh

That's a lovely abstract image. It's simple but great texture, details and pattern. I like it.

Well, I don't see see no flippin' flower, but I do see an interesting sand abstract.  Love the texture and well defined line.  Nice.

Love it.

Great, elegant work for me, Harley. I just think web presentation cannot do this image justice, it would need a large print!

I love it.  You've really been on a roll lately!  Everything you've posted I have just fallen in love with.  This is no exception.  Great structure, texture, and composition.

Before reading your description I thought "fossil flower" - I espcially like the lack of scale, one can imagine many things about the image!

No question about it, the Socal beaches have some of the most attractive sediment in the world, especially in the evening light. Nice composition and abstract.

Ever fascinating these demi-abstract, with good rendition of the sand texture and shadows play.

all the best,
