Been a while since I posted a scape here ![]()
I was cleaning up some images from our December 2014 trip to the Kgalagadi Transfrontier Park (Kalahari Desert).
I captured this "vertorama" (horizontal images stacked vertically for a panorama) from the window of my vehicle driving over the red dune fields late one afternoon as a storm was building up.
Techs:
Nikon D800
Nikkor 24-70mm f2.8 @ 24mm
Circular Polariser

Handheld - no getting out here, it's lion country...literally

7 commentsThe contrast between the Orange earth and blue sky is striking Morkel. I also like the square format.
The orange ground vs stormy blue sky creates some fine drama, Morkel. I agree with Eva about the square format.
Great color contrast of the orange and blue and great clouds. Beautiful.
Reminds me of our red dirt here in S. Utah. Of course we do not have the lions.
Very peaceful image image of a very wild place.
This photo gives me a bit of the creeps, and I'm not sure why. Maybe because the world seems to end at the piece of land in fornt of us? A very nice capture! The vibrance of the orange sand is very appealing.
I also like this contrast between the sky and this orange earth. The dark creates a kind of drama over this lion country. I like it.
Thanks for your comments, folks...
