Lighting and exposure are both nice.  This does indeed invoke a peaceful mood.  The closed eye is the key interest focal point, and as such I wish that one tiny stem of grass did not cross right at the eye's corner. Otherwise I like the few random leaning spikes of grass.

Hi Jerry,

Pretty nice pose  with soft lighting makes this a nice image.  The grass stem by the eye--I'd leave it and accept the fact that it is part of nature..........................................Jim

Hello Jerry      A special moment captured!   toning the spiked grasses would enhance the overall feel.

What an expedience to wander up on a peaceful buck.  I absolutely like the velvet on the antlers.
