The last image of this series (sorry, I lost tracking as they separated, so I'm not sure who ended up with the fish-hate it when that happens).  I do wish I'd had some kind of eye contact on this one, but on-balance, I think the poses and graphics of the image carry it adequately.

7Dii, 500mm f4 ISL + 1.4TC, Jobu Gimbal on RRS legs, f/7.1, 1/4000, iso 500, manual exposure.  Processed in LR5 & CS6.  Cropped to 15.2MP.  The camera clock was still on the same second as the last post (9:55:33 am).

Thanks for all your comments on this series.  I really appreciate it.

Lots of energy in this shot, and bits and pieces of fish, seaweed and feather flying around only make it more effective. The distant ridge beneath them emphasizes the heighth nd the tangle of wings and legs gives it a lot of tension. Eye contact would distract, I think. Very good stuff, Dennis.

Could be called "mid-air collision" with all of the debris flying, Dennis. Looks like the whites have become problematic on the top of the adults head. Looks a bit hot and not holding much detail. The dynamics of the action are good, but not as good as the last post. The horizon line of the BG mountain is starting to crowd the adult bird and is affecting the ballance of this one compared to the last post as well.Your focus has followed the action very nicely throughout the series.Good work. What a "OH BOY!" experience this must have been.

I'm assuming the winner of the fish will be revealed soon! Fun series.

The title fits perfectly Dennis. Great end to the series. Lots of action and I love the bits and pieces in the air. The background is very complimentary, I like how the treeline mimicks the mountains. Good stuff!  devil
