The first flower to bloom from the bunch on my last post. Again some mild desaturation and added haze. All comments welcome.>=))>

Pretty, Bill! The solid purple looks really good with the touch of haze and desaturation, almost like fine china. I especially like it that the BG has a hint of something there, while still doing its main job of making the subject stand out. Excellent photo and good workmanship—you can't beat it!

Reading your post after looking it over ...ah hah...that explains the lighter haze rather than the deep purple and soft saturation. Purely a preference item...I would try for richer colors. Nicley done and super DOF.

Lot to like, Bill. I espcially like the dark bg with the purple lily and the profile comp. Beautiful. The dof management is excellent as well with the entire main flower entirely in focus and just a hint of natural bg. Well done.

Bill - Another good take. I love this coloration for the Daylily, which I believe is not quite common (or rare). Like Ken, I might like it more without the haze filter.

The upper parts of tihs are exquisite, Bill ,and the whole image a treat, if not quite so compelling for me as your previous post. The pollen textures and the droplets are the stars !!

Hi Bill,
Very subtle colors and tack sharp. I like the dark BG that some variation, but the anthers are the best part of the image. I can make out the yellow pollen grains...............................Jim

Great sharp detail and well composed. I might like a touch more space above the subject.
