6 commentsWell done, Albert. A good example of getting close and filling the frame. I like the resulting alternating light purple and contrasting green colors, and I like the shallow dof. The question is always on where to put the actual pof, and I think your pof works well.
I agree with Scott, good choice on the POF for this shallow DOF shot Albert.
I like the smaller stem below, it sort of plays a supporting role here
Pleasant floral, nice job
In any photo of a cluster of blossoms like this, there is always a question of choosing a POF. I think you have done well here for the opening you chose. You have wisely also chosen not to get the whole stem. Good work.
Albert - My instinct would have been to select the blooms in the front as the POF but this sure works as it accommodates many more blooms. Nicely done.
Love the softness of this, Albert, and the play of forms in depth with varying degrees of focus. I feel you've made absolutely the right choices to bring out the delicacy of these pale flowers.
My first thought was to make the POF the front bloom but after looking some more I like your's better. I like that second stalk in the lower left for filling the frame and bridging to the much more OOF blooms in the background. You are the hosta maven for sure, Alberto.
