ROBINS FEEDING

by Graham Brown

Not an image I had planned but these two robins appeared suddenly on an old fence near to where I was trying to photograph jays. Lucky day I think!

Canon 7d mk11, canon 100-400, 1/664th sec at f8 and iso 800

The new 7d is much better than the previous model

Great action and the angle of the birds and crossed posts make a very stron composition, Graham.  You probably could go with a bit higher iso and shutter speed.  I've been using the 7dii at iso 1250 without unmanageable noise.

Nice image Graham.  I like the behavioral action and colors on the birds.  Great dark background and love that weathered old fence!

Graham, I am a big fan of feeding images. Nice timing on this and good job grabbing the action.
