One of two snow leopard cubs at the Miller Park Zoo. They are almost weaned and begining to feed on meat. This cub showed his teeth with a little cat snarl, protecting his food. The cubs are being hand raised after being rejected by their mother. I had to shoot through a double layer of wire. Smaller mesh wire had been placed over the larger woven wire to prevent the cubs from getting their heads stuck. The result made it almost impossible to get a photo without shadows from the wire.

2 commentsWhat a gorgeous creature! The shadoows of the wire don't bother me at all because the leopard's face and expression are front and center.
Well done!

Great mean snarl. Reminds me of an old girlfriend.
