These are pretty common in my area. A quite drab bird with a lot of energy and personality. I liked this pose. D800e, 300f4, 1.4tc, 1/160, 7.1, ISO 2500, tripod. All comments appreciated.

I have found in my backyard bird shots, the drab female can result in a fabulous pose and image. I like the detail and hints of blue in the feathers and with that head turn, the eye is captivating.

Common backyard feeder bird for me as well. Nice detail, pose and I like the diagonal perch. A little more DOF, but sharp where it needs to be. Upraised crest would put this one over the top.

Well, I suspect few people noticed (including me), but I am appreciative of the honor of receiving the Weekly Pick for this one. Thank you.
