I have just returned from an Amazing trip to the Pantanal and the Atlantic Rain Forest in Brazil. This trip was led by Nate Chappell (our moderator) of Trogon Tours. Nate did an excellent job of finding us wonderful things to photograph and also made sure everyone in the group was having a great time. Each evening after a day's shooting we would recap the highlights along with much laughter. Nate is planning on doing this trip again next year, I would highly recommend it.
This image of a Buff-necked Ibis was taken on our first day of shooting at Piuval Lodge in the Pantanal. For this image I used a Nikon D810 camera, a 300 2.8 lens plus a 1.4 teleconverter, ISO 320, f5.6, 1/3200.
Thanks for looking and critiques appreciated.

I don't know if you intended it or not, but your larger image looks likeit's still 720 pixels.
A lovely looking bird. It looks as though it is catching an insect but would need an enlarged view to show this more clearly. I like these habitat type shots and this was obviously a good start to your trip. Graham
Hello May,
Sounds and looks like Brazil was incredible!
Sweet capture of this guy, seems like a pretty dramatic gesture for such a small morsel of food and you captured it beautifully.
Excellent Work! I am looking forward to seeing more.
You captured this moment well, May. Lovely species, surroundings and the food-juggling as a bonus ! Nice piece of work ! Cheers, Hans
Nice image, May. I wish you had provided a large version.
I look forward to seeing the other images you've captured here in Brazil... :)
Super action and pose May, thanks for your kind words, it's always a present shooting with you.
