From time to time an Osprey will actually buzz the boat to check us out which makes for a great photo opportunity. Full frame, hand held from boat.

4 commentsMike, this one is flat awesome on so many levels. I have to say I went to your link for larger version and did not find it to be as big as the larger version here at NPN. Not sure what I did wrong, but this one is so impressive at the large size here at NPN I wanted to let you know.
I'm a big fan of osprey in general, but when photographed in action such as this one I wanted to leave a very positive comment. I especially like the amazing banking turn here with absolutely perfect clarity in the raptor throughout. An amazing photo.....
I like the spotlit look, the bird seems to be passing through a 'corridor' of light that extends to the opposite bank Mike.
Especially nice flight pose, like the wing positions with the one tip just kissing the water on this banking turn..
Great details, well done!
Nice capture Mike, I like how the wingtip looks like it's touching the water. Great colors too.
The detail on the Osprey is excellent Mike nice wing position too, love the colors and the setting. Ray
