Another shorebird capture on the sandbanks in the Encontro das Aquas State Park in Brazil.  Again I was lying on my tummy.  This birds is a little less than 6 inches tall.  The lapwing was almost 8 inches tall.  For this shot I was using my 300 2.8 mm lens, ISO 320, F4, 1/8000.

Thanks for looking and critiques appreciated.

Superb job on hte exposure, May and excellent eye contact.   I really like the contours in the sand and your dof.  Well done.

I too like the contours, and how the sand's broken up with the wet? patches I see. Great DOF & details as well..

Lovely perspective and excellent depth of field May. Great detail in the bird, and I love the color and texture of the sand.

A lovely image as posted. The tan setting sets off this plover to advantage, adding texture without distracting the viewer's eye. Crisp detail and perfect exposure. Nice pose and placement in the frame.
