The Rhino & The Bird

It's World Rhino Day today so I've chosen an oldie for such and occasion.

A close up image of a White Rhino relaxed while a Red-Billed Oxpecker gets rid of ticks. Image taken in South Africa where poaching is still far from being under control …… Happy World Rhino Day !

Wow, this is a breathtaking photo, the lighting and the bird make it all. Good thing the rhino was asleep because you look very close! Wonderful symbiotic relationship pictured here. Just spectacular.

Great way to get the word out Mario. It was really sad to hear the San Diego Safari Park lost one of their old Rhinos this year. Hope the poaching stops soon. This one looks like it is really enjoying the attention.

Mario: really like the perspective and the vignetting which places the emphasis on the subject(s). Nicely done. Richard

Hey Mario,

Sorry I can't help saying this - but this is definitely "an oldie, but a goodie!" enlightened

Very interesting and intriguing shot. My only really small nit is the brightness on the left side (as we view the image) of both horns (but aside from that the lighting in this shot is superb).

Cheers...and thanks for sharing...

Brad
