This female Bare-faced Curassow was photographed at Pousada Rio Clara, Brazil. This was one of the coolest birds we saw. Loved the curly 'hair'. For this image I used a Nikon D810 camera, a 300 2.8 lens, HH, F4, 1/800 ISO 1600. This was taken in the early morning just as the sun was rising.
Thanks for looking and critiques or comments appreciated.

Looks as though you had a very rewarding trip May. Walking very proudly with his crest prominant a lovely looking bird well presented with sharp detail. Graham
Hi May,
I like this image--subject has some bold patterns and the soft lighting provided rich colors and delicate shadows. Well done................Jim
Nice image, May. You captured this bird with a little attitude.
Everything going for this one, May. Excellent detail, good low angle, certainly an unusual looking bird. The f/4 gave you a well blurred BG, letting the bird stand out well. Expertly taken and processed.
Beautiful shot of this female May, love the plumage and the low angle, wish she had turned her head a bit toward you. My best shots of these are on top of the lodge rubbish pile.
Great detail in an interesting bird. I like the stepping pose and low POV you were able to capture on this May. Well done!
Stunning bird and image
What a funky looking bird! As always, I liked the raised foot implying movement, good low angle and nice techs May.
