Several short-eared owls wintered in north-western Washington State last winter and when the weather co-operated, I would go out and spend the day with them. This one stopped to rest while hunting a nearby field on this unique willow perch. While it rested another owl flew close-by and attracted this one's undivided attention.
All your comments and suggestions are very much appreciated.

This could not be much better,
The overall composition is outstanding and I'm loving that perch. Details and colors are very nice, the action and positioning of the Owl in the frame is inspired. I wish this were in my gallery.
Outstanding . . .
P.S Congratulations on the WP !

I can't suggest at thing for this one Ken. It is powerful as presented. The comp, scraggly perch and the owl's pose all work together to make this a special image.
Great shot Ken. Love the soft colors and the scraggly perch. Nice job keeping it all in focus.
Great pose, great light and great perch, Ken. Couldn't ask for more. I've only seen these once down here and it was when I was without camera.
Super image, Ken. The stare is riveting and the branches provide a great counterpoint to the owl. I think the image may be enhanced by moving the owl a little more towards the center.
Top shelf, Ken.
Terrific! Always a great subject. Very nice composition.
Nicely composed. The twisted perch is interesting and unique. Love the pose and the great eye contact.
Oh Ken, I love Short-eared Owls and this one is a beauty. I like the little twist of the head.
