Late Summer 7

Hi all.

Another shot from the Cafe Au Lait blooms, where I played with the curves.  In this one, if anything, the curves seemed to soften the light and the colors a little bit.  The curves corrected one is posted here, with the original following in the comments.

Any thoughts appreciated.

Here is the original (or at least the original processed from RAW).

Thanks in advance.

I like the results of your curves work on this one, Nathan.  Another nice angle on the blossom, though I find myself wishing you'd included the far right edge of the leading petal.  This has been a beautiful series.

frownOOOOOooooooooooh! Nathan this is fine. Love your processing decisions and how the color seems to fade away. Many thumbs up! >=))>

Hi, Nathan. I put this one ahead of #6, and just behind (barely) #5, which is still my favorite. Of your two posts here, I like the one above, best. These have been a great series thus far!devil

Hi  Nathan  crying I  agree  that  processing  with the curves  works  better  in  this post....  again , i like  your  composition  and the beautiful  pastel  colors.

I think you nailed it on this one.  Definitely better than #6.  I love the softness of texture and gentleness of color.  Very nicely done

Really nice. I like the softer version as posted (over the one below). I'm not completely sold on the gradient in hue (towards green), saturation, and contrast towards the top of the frame, though. Moving the frame a bit to the right might also be worth a thought, as already suggested previously.

What a beautiful work Nathan! Also for me this is the best of the series but I love the others too. I like it just as it is.

Hi Nathan, congrats on the EP cool - I really like this shot (best of all) - a very very nice 3 dimensional feel to the the flower.  An absolutely tiny point - hey, just 'cos its a brilliant shot doesn't mean it couldn't be a tad better enlightened I wondered whether the highlight on the right of the central front flowerlet could have been pulled back ever so slightly.
Cheers, Mark

Wow!  Thank you so much for the EP Bill and Phil!  I was quite surprised to see that!  Thank you for all of the advice.
