A Grand View

About an hour after the sunrise shown in my Landscape post, much of the fog hiding the Snake river burned off and we were able to get this good view of the Tetons from an unofficial pullout off the highway.  (5D3, 70-200 f2.8 @ 155, f/10, 1//80s, iso 200, tripod and polarizer)

The Tetons always make such a wonderful subject, Mark.  Nice job with the river making an excellent foreground.  A beautiful image.

Mark, this was a very different look for me on this locale. It must be lens selection maybe? Or maybe not, is this Oxbow area or another spot on the Snake?........oh wait, I see your message about unofficial pullout. Ok, makes sense as I could not place the spot.

Regardless, I love the detail in the crags once again that you picked up on the overlook area too. Nice new POV for me.....laugh

It is, indeed, a grand view, Mark!  A good exposure and a well balanced composition that shows all of the key elements.  The meandering river gives it some depth also.  The yellowish haze is unfortunate but there is nothing you could do about that (I'm just spoiled, living in alaska where the air is crisp and clean except when the forest fires are raging).
