On the Big Island of Hawaii, Lava is still active and forming the Island.  This image taken a few years ago at the lava ocean entry point after sunset.  Its no longer going into the ocean but our volcano is still pumping out huge amount of lava.  Happy to be back here on NPN.  Aloha

Amazing image!  Wonderful capture of the details lit by both the sky light and the glowing lava.  Exciting composition, too.  This gives me the impression that I would not want to be close to the lava!  I hope you shot it with a long lens. ;^)

Stunning—colors, composition, dynamic feel captured beautifully.  Almost painterly.

Incredible shot Tom! I've long been envious of your lava work.

The oranges and blues are beautiful together.  Love the texture and can feel the heat coming off it.  Minor nit is the horizon in the rear appears to be off a touch.

I've spent 6 weeks living Hilo-side between the past 2 Februarys.  It is such a beautiful and incredibly diverse landscape.

Balance of light and color is so good.  Watch the horizon...looks a bit tilted to the right :p  One day she'll hit the ocean again...one day :)
