I got some real nice early morning light on this stand of aspen.

Real nice, Harley. I do have two suggestions. First, there's a twig popping up just behind the central aspen that you might consider cloning. Second, the whites in the aspen trunks appear to have a slight blue or cyan cast--not much, though. I really like the composition and natural color . The reflection looks great, and I like the spot of sunlight there that gives it sort of a misty glow. Well done!

Such sweet light and contrast against the dark greens in the background. I'm undecided about the bright reflections so close to the edge of the bottom. I think the image would be just as strong without them, the focus of interest just being on the trees. I'm curious about leaving them in or how you chose the crop at the bottom. Regardless, it is lovely.

Harley, you did get a fine spot light on these Aspens, they glow very nicely.  Your treatment of the reflections seems unusual and challenging, definitely not the "standard" approach.  Those reflections add some fine eye candy along the bottom and cutting off the leaves from the reflections adds to their emphasis.

Superb image, Harley. The reflection of just the trunks looks great. I like the way the light and color work to isolate the stand of aspen.

Beautiful, Mr Harley.  Wonderful light and I think the framing of this shot is perfect.  Such a sweet little cluster of trees.  There appears ( and it could be just me) to be an errant brush or cloning stroke middle right.  Not sure what it is , just parallel horizontal lines.  Might just be the single malt playing tricks on my eyes :(

A great lansdscape - wonderul colours.  Its 'nit-picking' i know enlightened but i wonder if a very slight movement to the right (if possible) would have allowed the far right tree to become part of the symmetry of the composition - especially since the foreground reflections are ever so slightly to the right of center.

Cheers, Mark

Beautiful light Harley! I love the spotlight on the trees, and the crop of the reflection.

I agree with Mark about the aspen on the right. I feel like it detracts slightly from the symmetry of the photo and pulls my eye off of the trees.
