Water Bison

Sharron: this is very good image of the bison in an atypical environment. I think though that the image is over exposed and could benefit from a global drop in exposure of-2/3 to -1 stop. I am always aware of Brad Hill's reminder when shooting dark grizzly bears which occupy a large part of the frame, that the camera's meter always wants to render that scene as neutral. So when it sees a scene with a large dark object in it (your bison) it says "too dark, make it lighter". Hope this doesn't sound too preachy. Richard

Great look at this Bison in a wonderful environment with the water being an added bonus. The reflection, as you mentioned, is very nice. I agree with Richard concerning the over exposure but that should be an easy fix. Also the image is slightly tilted and could use some CW rotation.

Bison are one of my favorite animals and you captured this one very well in a situation that is not usually photographed. I think the second imae is a big improvement. The colors are much more natural.
