This photo is not exactly of a "peak" highlighted, so I'm probably not staying within the weekly challenge description, unless of course you consider that there could be a lot more to this mountain underneath the water and only the peak is showing! At any rate I really like how only the mountain is highlighted and the rest of area is dark and ominous.

Hi Carol, having only the single peak lit works for me. This is way cool with the focused lighting, and I especially like how the clouds seem to radiate out from the peak, sure makes this peak look special.

Great light, nice drama. I think I'd do a little work on the mountain to bring down the brightness just a touch.

Gorgeous, Carol. The light on the mountain is great and the clouds really add alot to the image.

Incredible light Carol. I've seen a lot of photos from this scene but none with this type of light.

Carol, no fair turning on the spotlight here..... sad

.....As I was the person who brought up the theme originally this fits the WC perfectly. The illumination area could not have been mapped out any better then we see here IMO. Between the shaded FG and the ominous dark sky surrounding this mountain area the isolated scene is excellent........nice work & excellent timing overall.
