Gumbo Evening Primrose

Horrible name for such a lovely flower.  This is an image from June of last year.  I posted a different version of this back then, but I ran across it again today and picked a different original from the series and reworked it just to see how a year changed my processing skills.

5Diii, 180mm f3.5 macro, tripod, f/11, 1/125, iso 1600, aperture priority, pattern metering.  Processed in LR5 & CS6.  Cropped to a 4x5 aspect ratio and took a trifle off the bottom.  Taken at Bannack State Park in Montana at 7:00 pm on June 13, 2014.

Thanks for looking,

Very nice bloom, Dennis.  The BG is a bit busy, but somewhat orderly in its busy-ness.  The color and details of the bloom are very nice.  Oh, and you are right about the name.

Very nice, Dennis. It's funny. I am normally one who objects to a cluttered bg, but this bg does not bother me at all. I like the curly leaves and leaves at the top. The primrose stands out well and has very nice shape, color and texture, and I think the bg complements the beautiful flower very well.

Very nice Dennis, a lovely flower and an unusual background which I really like. The detail in the flower is superb. Graham
