From the same lake as my previous Landscape post, a bit later in the day. Had nice still waters and there is a hint of fall in the leaves on the BG cliff. I liked the green FG bushes as a base and unifying element with the busier BG.

C+C always welcome. Thanks for the comments previously.

What makes this image really work for me are the different greens scattered all around. Especially the moss on the tree and the lichens (I guess?) on the rock in the distance are small but for me very important details. Maybe burn the birght part of the rock to the right a bit? That would be my only nit, and a very small one I might add, this is nice as is!

I like this a lot. Lots of very interesting color and detail and the image has a great tranquil moom. I agree with Roel's suggestion (or add a hint of texture with the light cloning technique explained at CANP if there is none in the file).

Dave, the many subtle shades of green and those near perfect reflections look great here.  I like the balance between the bright rock and the tree but agree that some subtle burning in of that rock might be good.

Nice comp, Dave.  I'm a sucker latlely for reflection images and I like how you constructed this one.  I would not have thought to have the ponderosa anchor that part of the scene.  The greens are awesome and the image is very pleasing.  I like it a lot.

I do think that this image is superior to the other one you just posted. The post processing is more agressive with more vivid colors. What I like most is the far stone wall and the scrub next to it. I could see some great compositions with just that. I agree with you that the manzania(?) at the bottom does provide a nice frame. And the tree provides an object for perspective. That branches on the left side of the tree are a bit distracting. For me, the image is the top right quadrant extending left to just before the tree.

An interesting and effective composition that makes the eyes explore the various elements.

Hi Dave,

I love all the vivid greens in this capture, and the composition really works well for me with the trunk of the ponderosa pine creating some solid structure to this image. I just really enjoy this one from you Dave. This image image has such a soothing effect on my well being, sweet capture!!

This reminds me a bit of Cezanne, Dave - a sense of geometry underlying the natural forms.  Good, strong composition which hits you in the eye !

This was a nice idea, and gives a fine view of a typical Sierra lake. I agree with regard to working that bright slab just a bit. I usually prefer more foreground, but the minimal amount here works well.
