Thanks for the comments on my last post, and for the suggestions concerning the top of the image.  This is one of the reasons that NPN is such a valuable resource.  This slightly wider composition addresses the suggestions made.

Fine intimate Zion image, Jim. The wider veiw adresses the issue with the previous image, and is preferable, IMO. devil

The comp in your previous version felt a bit awkward to me because of the top of the trees that were cut off, but this one is spot on! No nits!

I definitely prefer this wider look. A much better comp to my eye. Nice work.

Jim, I must say that you have an enviable portfolio of Zion images, and this is certainly no exception.  Wonderful work getting a bit more of the scene.

Seeing the top of the tree is a fine improvement, Jim.

You've filled out the frame very nicely with this composition. I would like a bit more contrast for my tastes but really nothing much to suggest, very well presented.

What a difference, Jim!  I definitely like this version better.  Seeing all of those beautiful golden trees is nice plus the added bright orange cliffs balance the darker rocks in the foreground much better than in the previous version.  Very nice! devil

Didn't see your previous post Jim but this composition is very coherent and the colours beautiful.  It is I guess a pity the water at the bottom has the appearance of a dirty puddle rather than the clarity of a rushing stream but I guess with all that reddish soil it is hardly surprising.

Hi Jim,

After looking at the other post, I really prefer this image. In this image, I like being able to see the tops of the trees. The image is well constructed with how the elements are arranged in the frame, and I am really just enjoying this intimate view. Yeah sure some flowing water would be over the top, but this is very nice work.

I like the repost as the addition of the treetops is beneficial.

This works much better for me, now. The slightly wider view, especially showing the tops of the trees gives the scene room to breathe. Well done!

Nicely done!  I love the way the image is balanced the curving rocks and pool in the foreground and almost mirror image (shape wise) trees at the top with great color throughout.
