Afternoon Aspens

Had to stop and try for an image of  this small aspen grove with good color in the Eastern Sierra. I liked the foreground cover and wildness of the lower branches and of course contrasting trunks. Processed for coloring and softness in the foliage. Comments and critique welcome

A lovely fall scene. I wouldn't mind a bit more pop to the processing but it works well as you have presented it.

Nice stand of east side trees and nice image. I like the understated presentation.

Good day Stephen,

I really enjoy this presentation of the Intimate Aspen Grove. Yo have framed up the trees well, and I like the details in the foreground. I too could see just a tad more pop to this image, but it is very nice as presented.

Stephen, This is really nice! It is a very interesting stand of aspens and I love the colors in this. The foreground works great here as well.

Beautifully composed, Stephen, with a delicate colouring and a range of textures which make this very appealing.  I wonder whether you might even crop off the top to focus even more strongly on the ochre/grey combination - but lovely as is.

I don't know why, but this group of trees looks really familiar. Be that as it may, I like the subtle color and the nicely textured foreground. You did a nice job extracting a sense of orer from the chaos.

I like the subtleness of the colors both in the trees and in the foreground.  You took good advantage of what looks to be a light overcast, Stephen.  It would be interesting to see a retake with the sun shining, I'm sure that would be a dramatically different image.
