The multicoloured sandstone landscapes of Tony Kuyper were the inspiration for this Western Australian landscape.

Technicolour is definitely appropriate here, Kah Kit! The large version is essential viewing as it has more detail and much more presence.  The colors feel more real in the large version also.  Sure hope you got photos of those mountain goats while you were at it!

Perfect title! Love the transition of the colors you captured here. It may a tad too contrasty for me maybe, but that's a minor nit. Oh, and the large version is mandatory, a lot more to see!

Real nice colors and tones.  The colors are bold but still look nice and realistic.  Well done.

Hi Kah Kit,

This image as all about the color, and obviously a solid composition to present this color. The glow of the red rock in the background with the cool blues in the foreground work so wonderfully well together.
Also, the intriguing shapes of the rock and lines really create a highly interesting and stimulating scene.

That's some crazy color and wonderful textures. I'm on the fence a bit with the very dark area top-center. Looks like a very interesting place.

OK, there's something strange going on with the way this thread is being displayed. In a full browser window, the image is centered as it should be, but the text in the second line is causing your text area, and the reply dialog box to be the width of the full screen window. Also, the other replies are pushed over to the left. Very weird. I wonder if it's the font you used for your text? Is anyone else seeing this? I am seeing this in IE 11, MS Edge, and FireFox. Note, that I am not seeing this on any other image threads.

Cool image Kah, I'm getting the same distortion as Preston in the text and comment area.

Thanks, I've redone the text and things are back to normal. I've also opened up the shadows in the area re: Preston's suggestion.

Your repost looks really nice, Kah Kit.

Thanks for fixing the text issue--it looks fine, now.

You've certainly got an strong glow here, Kah Kit, especially in the blues.  The warm/cold contrast works very well and the details in the larger version are great.  I especially like the layers in the lower half.  The added detail up top in the repost is a nice improvement.

Western Australia???  I'm sure that I walked past this scene in Zion yesterday!  enlightened

Great image!  I always like the tension created by the warm and cool tones in compositions such as this.
