Millipede Dependents

Had picked up my first subject in the morning, the wet soil from the overnight rains, showed fresh pug marks of the leopard. For a macro photographer who crawls on the ground most of the time...this is not a good sign..

I wound up with a few images of the millipede,

only to find three other insects living on the millipede.

Had cropped this image by about 30% to emphasize the little beings..

I love the almost abstract quality of this, Balan. The small bugs are a nice addition I think.

Very ineresting image, Balan, combining the abstract colors and pattern of the millipede with the tiny insects. Great combination of elements and subjects.

Nice shot!   Interesting how the colors and the circular pattern come together.   The tiny insects are an added plus!

Found a millipede while watching for a Leopard, Balan.  That makes for quite a story....  The tight focus on the curled milliped makes a fine near abstract, especiallly with the metallic colors and detailed lines.  The extra little ones add some good interest as well as tell a story in their own right.

Very nice Balan the colours really make this image. Excellent lighting and sharpness and the spiralling form is almost perfect. Graham

And if you had the magnification, I'm sure you'd find other insectcs livingon the smaller ones, Balan.  I love the composition of the coiled millipede and its rich coloration.  The other insects are a nice bonus.
