On our first morning camping at Ngweshla waterhole (Hwange National Park, Zimbabwe) we were delighted to see this magnificent Male Sable come to visit.

Ken,
a species I have not photographed often and when, it was always in areas with a lot of bushes ( Kruger NP or Pilanesberg NP ). The image is well done and a pitty that the eye has no cachlight.

One of my favorite antelopes. The background is a little drab, but the antelope is spectacular.

Very nice, Ken! Classic composition, excellent exposure showing all the details in the black body without blowing the highlights and just the right DOF, keeping all of the animal in focus but fading the background for a good 3D appearance.

Cay-Uwe,
A catchlight would have been the icing on the cake for me, next time
Jerry,
Nothing I could do about the background, aat least it was not the usual soread of Elephant dung

Great detail in the Sable's coat and face! I like the alert pose. One of my favorite African animals. Thanks for sharing.
